Mission

This website's mission is dedicated to shedding light on mental health issues that student athletes may face, and the devastating consequences they can have on athletes' well being. Through providing facts that highlight the challenges athletes face regarding their mental health and well-being, viewers of this site should begin to recognize they are not alone.  We aim to raise awareness about the stigma surrounding mental health in sports, fostering a supportive environment where athletes can seek help by utilizing several different resources, without any fear of judgment. Join us in breaking the silence and promoting understanding around this critical issue that plagues student athletes all around the world.

AthletesForMentalHealth supports The Kids Mental Health Foundation (KMHF) in order to spread awareness towards an issue that has historically been overlooked. KMHF is the leading organization promoting mental health for children in the United States.  To date more than 24 million people have engaged with the Foundation's materials, helping parents, educators, and coaches be a guiding force for children's mental health in their lives.  As the organization expands their resources for coaches and student athletes, I hope to aid them through my personal experiences as a student athlete. The stigma that surrounds mental health is quite opressing for athletes, but there’s no reason we can’t change that. By reading my website I hope people can see how real of an issue mental health is for so many people and how it even affects athletes at the professional level. Donating to the KMHF will help the research surrounding athletes mental health grow and will improve the likelihood that positive messages begin to inspire kids of the new generation to seek help and root out any issues before they can begin.
